Something not listed?
If you’re dealing with something that isn’t on this page, reach out and we’ll talk through whether Pilates is a good fit. If you’re under the care of a doctor or physical therapist, we’re happy to work alongside them.
Please note that Pilates is exercise, not medical treatment, and does not replace care from your healthcare provider. We encourage you to check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially during pregnancy, after surgery, or if you have a medical condition.
Meet Your Instructor
Shannon is the founder of Spring Society Pilates and teaches every class and private session herself. Her path to Pilates started with her own body: Pilates healed her, and that experience turned into a life’s purpose of helping others get stronger and move better.
She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT), with a 650-hour certification through Body Harmonics and hundreds of additional hours of continuing education. She also holds a 500-hour Diploma of Clinical Pilates through Breathe Education, which focuses on movement rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise. Her academic background includes degrees in Biology and Political Science from UC San Diego and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
Before opening Spring Society, Shannon spent a decade teaching at other Pilates studios, where she worked with people at every stage of life, from first-time exercisers to seasoned athletes.
Her approach blends classical Pilates principles with current research in biomechanics and exercise science, so your sessions are guided by what the evidence supports rather than trends. She believes the best results come from clear communication, curiosity, and a little fun, so expect to be asked questions, encouraged to ask your own, and to laugh along the way.
Whether you’re recovering from injury, building strength for the long run, or just want to feel better in your body, Shannon will design a customized program tailored to you.
